OVER A CENTURY OF LOVE FOR HONEY
In 1903, Professor Gian Pietro Piana left the University of Milan, where he taught, to move to the green hills of Castel San Pietro, near Bologna. Falling in love with the Emilian countryside, among orchards and aromatic herbs, he began with his son Gaetano to raise Italian bees: thus, Piana Beekeeping was born. Today, after over a century of experience in the production of honey, Piana is recognized as a company among the market leaders thanks to products that are the result of a careful selection that allows it to offer the consumer the best of national and international honey production. Apicoltura Piana, in the internal laboratory and with its experts, classifies and selects the different floral varieties of honey. For all lots there are analysis sheets including the organoleptic evaluation. All samples are tasted and evaluated before being placed on the market. The processing takes place without ever forgetting that the bee products must keep all their beneficial properties intact.
